The Dordoni Farm’s 300 KW Biogas plant is fed mainly with zooetcnci wastewater from the farm’s own livestock farms, silage corn stocks collected at the tail end of corn threshing, autumn vernine triticale, and second-crop crops.
In addition to the energy produced de fed into the grid, a heat recovery boiler has been installed on the flue gas outlet of the cogenerator, so that the heat recovered, can be used for heating sowsheds, weaning and feeding pigs.
Having been connected to the ENEL grid, 7,200 kwh of biogas was produced in just 24 hours, and in one year the plant worked for 8720 hours net of shutdowns due to power failure and scheduled maintenance to the cogenerator, producing 2,386,180 kwh.
