BIOGAS PLANT SOC. AGR. REGHENZI AND PAPA- VOLONGO (CR)

Designed and built in 2018, Socr. Agr. Reghenzi e Papa’s Biogas plant is located in the Cremona countryside, in Volongo, and is fed with livestock manure.
In January 2024 it joined the new “Sblocca Motori” decree, which allows, where the plant configuration permits, to increase production by up to 20 percent.
It went from a capacity of 300KW to 360KW, making its own small contribution, without benefiting from any incentive for production in excess of that authorized, compensating, albeit minimally, to the imbalances on the grid generated by other non-programmable renewable sources.
This example, demonstrates that biogas plants, unlike other renewable sources, can plan and modulate the production of electricity and heat.
What is more, with the addition of a Biogas Purification Upgrading Plant, they can transform the energy contained in biogas into an additional energy carrier making this valuable resource by far the most virtuous.
We are particularly proud of the goal achieved, because our company, at the time, actively participated in the submission of the amendment and contributed significantly to this valuable initiative.
